Terms of Engagement.

Plain language, applied to a simple relationship: a conversation first, a written agreement before anything else. Last updated 10 August 2026.

Who these terms are for

These terms apply to anyone visiting thethinkingnook.com.sg, booking a Current Pulse™ conversation, or otherwise contacting The Thinking Nook ("we," "us," "our"), a Singapore-registered business, UEN 53525786D. By booking a Current Pulse™ or contacting us, you agree to these terms for that interaction.

The Current Pulse™ conversation

A Current Pulse™ is a confidential, no-obligation conversation. Booking one does not create a contract, retainer, or any obligation to engage us further. Either side may decline to continue after the conversation, for any reason, without penalty.

Paid engagements are separately agreed

If we agree to work together beyond an initial conversation — a diagnostic, a Strategic Thinking Partnership, a Strategic Implementation Partnership, a workshop, or anything else described on this site — the scope, fees, payment terms, timeline, and any engagement-specific conditions will be set out in a separate written agreement (a proposal, statement of work, or signed contract) before any paid work begins. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, or a substitute for that written agreement.

Confidentiality

What you share with us in a Current Pulse™ conversation or any subsequent engagement is treated as confidential. We don't disclose your business information to third parties without your permission, except where required by law. Any case study or example we publish based on real work is anonymised and shared only with your knowledge, and where reasonably possible, your review beforehand.

Intellectual property

TTNOS™, the Nook Capacity Audit™, the Progress Capacity Gap™, Current Pulse™, and the broader frameworks, methods, and materials we use to deliver our work remain the intellectual property of The Thinking Nook, whether or not you engage us. Nothing in a conversation or engagement transfers ownership of these frameworks to you. Materials we create specifically for your business as part of a paid engagement will have their ownership addressed in that engagement's written agreement. Information about your business that you share with us remains yours.

No guaranteed outcome

We bring real thinking and a structured approach to every conversation and engagement, but we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes, revenue results, or timelines — these depend on many factors outside our control, including decisions only you can make. Advice and frameworks we provide are for your consideration, not a substitute for your own legal, financial, tax, or professional judgement on matters that need it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, The Thinking Nook's liability for any claim arising from a Current Pulse™ conversation or engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

Website use

This website and its content are provided for general information. We update it from time to time and don't guarantee it is always current, complete, or error-free. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information collected through this site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, unless a separate written agreement for a specific engagement states otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect is the one published on this page at the time of your conversation or engagement, and we'll update the "last updated" date above when we make changes.
